Open the Meeting: The meeting was called to order at 4:30pm.
Accept the Minutes: A motion was made by Allan and seconded by Russell to accept the minutes of December 13 & 16, 2010 minutes. The motion passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS:
- The Board reviewed the Notice of Recommended Recertification of Tower View LLC submitted by the EDIP.
- The Board reviewed an email from Dr. Allard. The Board felt that the explanation given for denial was sufficient and that no further action was necessary.
- The Board discussed the parcel of land on Margaret St. belonging to the Roman Catholic Church. The Church is now aware of the parcel and we will add it to the maps and database this year.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Board voted and approved the following Motor Vehicle Abatements:
- 2010 Abatements in the amount of $296.46
The Board reviewed and signed Certificate of Penalty Tax for classified chapterland parcels for:
- Mr. Samuel Koran – 160 East Hill Rd property – in the amount of $1,005.40
The Board reviewed, voted and approved the following Real Estate exemptions:
- 5 Elderly 41C Exemptions - $3,956.36
- 4 Veteran 22 Exemptions - $1,648.00
The Board reviewed, voted and approved 10 Real Estate Abatements for a total amount of $4,540.05
The Board reviewed, voted and approved the Petition to Resolve Levy 2006 Motor Vehicle Excise Tax submitted by the Tax Collector in the amount of $4,631.79
The Board reviewed, voted and signed the following Warrants:
- FY2011 Real Estate Tax in the amount of $5,330,331.85
- FY2011 Personal Property Tax in the amount of $214,114.65
- FY2011 CPA Surcharge in the amount of $84,959.14
The Board reviewed and signed a partial lien release for Mr. Raymond Miller for property on Hovey Rd.
The Board reviewed and signed the following Notice of Apportionment of Tax:
- Kevin & Michele Byrne / Robert North – property on Bethany Rd.
- Samuel & Sheila Koran / Damien Goudreau & Kimberly Koran – property on East Hill Rd.
The Board reviewed and Allan motioned and Ann seconded on a 3% discount on property located at 10 Stewart Ave.
The Board was updated on miscellaneous items.
The next meeting was scheduled for Monday February 7, 2011 at 4:15pm
ADJOURN: At 5:09pm, a motion was made by Allan and seconded by Russell to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
